CranioSacral therapy originated with osteopath William G. Sutherland in the 1930's. Dr. John E. Upledger further developed the widespread craniosacral therapy known today.

According to Dr. Upledger's book, "CranioSacral Therapy: Touchstone for Natural Healing" (Copyright 2001 John E. Upledger), CranioSacral therapy improves the central nervous system, strengthens resistance to disease, enhances overall health, and treats a wide range of ailments, including learning disabilities, autism, post-traumatic stress, and cancer.

Using a lighter touch than other techniques, this method mobilizes the pressure of cerebrospinal fluid and the bioelectrical connectivity of fascial tissue to affect sites of physical and emotional trauma.

Dr. Lisa Haase is working towards certification in CranioSacral therapy, having recently completed the first level.
